Strategically located at the entrance to the Hunter Valley, Orica's manufacturing plant at Kooragang Island is an integral part of the company's global operations.

The site produces ammonium nitrate for use in the mining industry, and ammonia and nitric acid for use in industrial and agricultural applications.

• Orica has donated an additional air monitoring station on Fullerton Street Stockton which continuously monitors general air quality as well as wind speed and direction for the Stockton community. Air quality parameters measured are dust (PM10 and PM2.5), NOx (including NO2) and ammonia levels. Results from this station are available in real time from http://www.stocktonairqualitymonitoring.com/.
